Pencil sketch on copier paper. Drawn in 1992.
By now, the manga influence seeping into my drawing style is becoming very obvious. There are even Chinese speech bubbles!

Pencil, felt markers and colour pencils on copier paper. Drawn in 1992.
Extension of the “Adrian + Alvin Universe”. The A-Force is a group of superheroes led by best friends, Adrian and Alvin. Yes, I know it’s very childish! I was only primary six then lah, and it seems pretty cool to create a fictional team [...]

Pencil sketch on copier paper. Drawn in 1992.
I was totally obsessed with the Dragonball manga during this period. As you can see from the three drawings above, I will senselessly copy various Dragonball characters from the manga and try to populate every single millimetre on the paper I am drawing on.

Pencil sketch on A4 copier paper with calligraphy pen lettering. Drawn in 1992.
If I didn’t remember wrongly, this was copied from the first issue of Venom, drawn by Eric Larsen. I am used to a muscular Venom, not the scrawny version seen in the Spiderman 3 movie.

Drawn in 1992 (primary 6). Pencil sketch on copier paper, with partial inking done with pilot V8 pen.
The initial artworks on the Adrian Aw character culminated into this final fake Marvel comic book cover of issue one of “Adrian”. It’s quite funny when I look at it now – I even copied to cover right [...]

Pencil sketch on A4 copier paper.
This is a continuation book cover design following The Another Awesome Story of Awesome Adrian. This time, it is set in the future of year 2099. The main character is still the same cyborg dude. It is drawn when I was in primary six.

Pencil sketch on A4 copier paper.
I should be in primary six when I drew this. It looks like a sci-fi book cover to me. It was titled as “The Another Story of Awesome Adrian”. Adrian is the guy tying a head-band and holding giant guns. He is a typical half-man-half-machine cyborg warrior, popular back in [...]

Pencil sketch on crappy A4 paper taken from my mom’s former dressmaking school (closed down in 2003, the address above is defunct).
Rip-off artwork from the cover of a X-force comic book. I modified the X-force team to look like my own original characters. This is one of the oldest piece of artwork I dug out [...]
